Active K-12 Charter School Employee
Most charter school employees are not included in the Teacher or Education Support Professional collective bargaining agreement in school districts and thus are not eligible to belong to the CEA-NEA Local Association in the district. If you work in the Boulder Valley School District or in a district in Pikes Peak, San Juan, San Luis, or Ski Country UniServ Units, you are eligible to join through our UniServ Unit. Contact one of these UniServ Offices.
If you work in a school district besides these, we invite you to belong to CEA-NEA without joining a local. The CEA Membership Form may be downloaded and printed (Spanish version).
You can join at any time during the year. If an Active member joins after September 15, the Local Association or CEA, in determining the new member’s dues, must prorate the dues by the number of months and payroll deduction periods remaining in the membership year. If you do not belong to a Local Association, but to CEA and NEA, you will also pay a UniServ Service Fee.
If you are not joining through a CEA Local Association/UniServ Unit, print the CEA-NEA Membership Form (see the second paragraph of this section) and mail it with your dues check to: Colorado Education Association, Attn: Julie Moot, 1500 Grant Street, Denver, CO 80203. Your dues will include a UniServ Service Fee. You may pay dues through automatic checking account deduction/electronic funds transfer. If you choose to do this, complete both the membership form and this EFT Form.
