California Casualty, CEA-NEA home and auto insurance business partner through NEA Member Benefits, has a service center in Colorado Springs and some of its employees were directly impacted by the fire. California Casualty contributed $2500 to the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross and $7500 to the Volunteer Firefighter Support Fund of the National Volunteer Fire Council.

CEA made a $2,500 contribution to the Colorado State Firefighters Association, the organization of volunteer firefighters that provides training and support throughout the year. The organization's headquarters is in Golden.
