Join Douglas County educators in September 5 protest

Last summer the Douglas County School Board severed its collective bargaining relationship with the Douglas County Federation of Teachers (DCFT), the union that has represented teachers and classified school employees in the school district for many years.

DCFT will hold a rally Wednesday, September 5, at 4:30 p.m. prior to that evening's school board meeting. CEA President Kerrie Dallman urges CEA members who live in Castle Rock and South Metro areas to join DCFT members to show our support and demonstrate our commitment to collective bargaining.

The rally is at the Douglas County School District Administration Building, 450 Wilcox in Castle Rock, this Wednesday, September 5, at 4:30 p.m.

Dallman said, "We urge our members' solidarity around labor's core values - collectivism, unity, equity, transparency, and collaboration - and for our union brothers and sisters in Douglas County."
