DESCRIPTION:Black Lives Matter at School is a national coalition organizing for racial justice in education. DESCRIPTION:Throughout the month of February\, we come together to celebrate Black heritage\, tradition\, and achievement. This month students around the country will hear important stories about American innovation\, the slow march to overcome a system built with injustice\, and a celebration of freedom and the joy of creative expression. \nThe theme of this year’s observance is Black Resistance. NEA provides grade-level appropriate lesson plans and resources to help educators share these important lessons with students. \nWe also share resources highlighting African American leaders who shaped the labor movement and civil rights. Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action is February 6 – 10 and resources are available from NEA and Black Lives Matter at School for each day.
