FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 22, 2026

DENVER, CO – Today, the Colorado Education Association (CEA) released its recommendations for the upcoming 2026 general election, which will take place on Tuesday, November 3.

Our nearly 40,000 members urge Coloradans to back candidates and ballot measures focused on increasing funding for our public schools, protecting public education, standing up to corporate special interests, and delivering an affordable life for working families.

“This November, Colorado voters will have the opportunity to elect public education champions and make critical investments in our public schools.” said Kevin Vick, social studies teacher of 20+ years and President of CEA. “All students deserve great public schools, all educators deserve fully-funded classrooms, and all Coloradans deserve leaders who will put working families first. We’re proud to endorse candidates who share our vision and who will fight alongside us to make it a reality.”

“We are also proud to recommend a YES vote on Proposition NN, which will increase education funding by 50% over the next decade without raising taxes, allowing Colorado to prepare our children for success, keep hardworking educators in the profession, and build thriving communities in every corner of the state,” added Vick.
